B&B Italia leather two‑seat sofa from the Le Bambole line, designed by Mario Bellini, dating to 1980–1990, in brandy leather, 175 cm wide, 90 cm deep, 73 cm high, and weighing 50 kg in mint condition.
Description from the seller
Splendid leather sofa in brandy color
Two-seat sofa model ‘Le Bambole’ designed by Mario Bellini in 1972 and awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1979
Iconic historical symbol of timeless Italian design, one of the most significant expressions of Italian design in the 1970s.
The Le Bambole sofa is a timeless icon, with the apparent absence of a supporting structure, which gives the sofa a natural and harmonious look.
Its soft and elastic shape is able to offer unparalleled comfort, enveloping the user’s body.
The sofa in question is a rare early production from the 1980s
The interior padding is still perfect.
Stamped on the base in yuta
Bibliography: G. Gramigna, Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000, Allemandi, Torino, 2003, p. 198
Domus 515 (October 1972)
Domus 516 (November 1972)
Casa Amica 7 (November 1972) p. 42
In case of shipment, the sofa will be packed and placed on a custom-made wooden crate for the sofa.
P.S. I do not ship to the United States due to logistics.
