Description from the seller

Exceptional clarete pitcher (an antique wine-washbasin jug) from the late 19th century. The upper mount is richly carved in solid 800‑fineness silver, featuring abundant neobaroque-style decoration with rocaille motifs, vegetal volutes, flowers in high relief, and an ergonomically elegant handle. The hinged lid terminates in an intricate decorative finial.
On the front of the mount, a central cartouche features a beautifully intertwined monogram finely hand-engraved, topped by a crown of nobility.
The lower body is made of high-quality transparent crystal, hand-blown and hand-cut with a dynamic helical design of continuous spiral channels that stylizes the pitcher’s silhouette and multiplies the play of light.
Marks and Punches (Certificate of Authenticity)
The piece is fully identified and authenticated on the silver neck with the following stamped marks:
Seal of the renowned court jeweler: "E. MARCUS" (Eugen Marcus, Berlin)
Casting catalog model number: "10874" (Corresponding to Hugo Schaper’s historic design for the prestigious firm Koch & Bergfeld)
Metal purity stamp: "800"
National German marks of the period: Crescent Moon and Imperial Crown symbols (Halbmond und Krone).

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The crystal is pristine: completely intact, with no chips, cracks, nicks, or internal cloudiness, preserving its original clarity. The silver mount retains a magnificent patina that highlights the depth of the reliefs, with a firm, perfectly functioning hinge mechanism.
A display piece ready for collection or immediate use on a high-end table.
