A beautiful console/plant stand from French Polynesia, produced in the 1920s.
Given its advanced age, it is in very good condition with minor, negligible imperfections.
The pedestal is hand-crafted from Zitan or Huali, in Western antique circles known as rosewood or fruitwood, featuring open ajoure wood carving with cabriole scroll feet at the bottom.
Between the legs there is a decorative extra shelf.
This provides extra stability and offers space for a decorative piece.

A great eye-catcher and nicely suited to a Chinoiserie or Ralph Lauren interior.

Een prachtige console/plantentafel uit Frans-Polynesië vervaardigd in de jaren 20 van de vorige eeuw. 
Gezien de hoge leeftijd verkeert deze in zeer goede staat met te verwaarlozen kleine imperfecties.
De piëdestal is met de hand vervaardigd uit Zitan of Huali, in de westerse antiekwereld bekend als rozen- of vruchtenhout in open ajoure houtsnijwerk met aan de onderzijde cabriole krulpoten.
Tussen de poten bevindt zich een decoratief extra plateau. 
Dit zorgt voor extra stevigheid en biedt ruimte voor een decoratiestuk.

Een geweldige eye-catcher en mooi te combineren in een Chinoserie of Ralph Lauren interieur.
