Description from the seller
CONCEPT OPERA
"Fly, fly above my head
Pretending it will be like a big party
Many missiles have decided to launch
Across the long and wide sea
They are sent with balloons
To hide from the untrustworthy
(For this war, in the guise of peace
Almost the whole world is silent)
As if they were little friends described
But I don’t believe in these derelicts"

NOTIZIE SULL'ARTISTA
Laura Muolo, born in 1975, Milanese by birth and Rimini by adoption. She approached art as a self-taught artist from 2013. Her starting medium is graphite, with which she immediately sought the realism of faces, while later she also took up other media such as pastel and painting.
She participates in many group exhibitions across Italy and internationally and showcases her works in important Italian museums. Her works are part of several private collections worldwide. Four solo exhibitions so far. She collaborated on creating a cover for a poetry book in 2015 and for the cover of a philosophy book in 2023.
Winner and finalist in several artistic competitions, nationally and internationally.
Laura describes her work as follows: “I prefer oil painting for its reflective nature: it allows me to build the image step by step, changing, sanding, perfecting. Sometimes I use pastel on cardboard to capture the essence of the subject directly and instinctively. My style is realistic, but my painting tells inner worlds, hidden emotions and stories to decipher.
My works move between dreamlike landscapes and figures immersed in their thoughts, accompanied by shadows that reveal what is not seen: desires, fears, memories. Each scene arises from photographs of young subjects and takes shape through symbols, objects, and animals that give voice to a memory or a deep feeling. Painting, for me, is a journey into the dimension of the unspoken.”
Laura collaborates with Ranarossa Gallery in Modena and Lojelo Art Gallery in Volterra
