Proposed is a rich collection composed of 233 original Italian postcards, datable between 1920 and 1956, gathered over many years and now offered in its entirety.
The collection stands out for the remarkable variety of subjects represented and constitutes an interesting testimony to Italian postcards of the first half of the 20th century.
The lot includes views of Italian cities and small towns, monuments, landscapes, urban scenes and seaside resort towns, accompanied by elegant female figures, portraits, children, everyday life scenes, sentimental postcards, illustrated postcards, period photographs and some original humorous postcards, which further enrich the whole.
Most of the items are stamped and still preserve stamps, postmarks and original handwritten correspondence, offering additional appeal for postal history enthusiasts as well as for collectors of illustrated postcards.
