Eschenbach Manon opera binoculars with a brass gold‑plated body and black piano lacquer, 2.5x magnification, very good physical condition and tested and functional, origin Nürnberg, Germany, circa 1950–1960.
Description from the seller
Enuro Optik was a historic trade brand for binoculars and optical instruments of the renowned German company Eschenbach Optik from Nuremberg. The name stands for Eschenbach Nürnberg Enuro Optik. (Wetzlar) 1950-1960)
Small and compact vintage Opera glass from the Eschenbach company.
The “Manon” from Eschenbach-Optik is a classic, vintage theatre glass (opera glass) that was mainly distributed in the 1950s and 1970s.
Eschenbach offered optical devices for entry-level use or as compact leisure companions.
The Eschenbach Optik “Manon” opera glass consists of a classic material combination from the post-war era:
Gilded brass
Brass housing with black piano lacquer
Silikat glass Bakelite around the eyecups
Metal: The base body and the bridge are made of robust brass, gilded.
Ornamentation: The gold-colored rings and decorative elements are gilded brass, and the grip surfaces are brass lacquered. The casing is clad in brass with decorative rings made of gilded brass—the tubes are made of gilded brass.
Special feature here:
The eyeball distance can be individually adjusted.
Very good sight and easy focusing via the central wheel.
Unfortunately, a plastic cap on top with the name Manon—see last photo of another model— is missing!!!
Of course, this has no effect on function :-)
Extra: Eye distance adjustment possible.
Smooth focusing via the central wheel
Dimensions roughly in the extended state
7 x 10 x 3 cm.
