“Gehöft am Chiemsee” by Dieter Wulff
Atmospheric landscape by the German painter Dieter Wulff. The painting shows a traditional farmhouse in the Chiemsee region, embedded in a summer landscape. The white plastered buildings with their red tiled roofs, surrounded by meadows and trees, convey the rural character of Upper Bavaria in a calm and harmonious mood.
With confident brushwork and a finely tuned color palette, Wulff captures the warm light and the special atmosphere of a historic farmstead. The balanced composition as well as the vivid portrayal of the architecture and vegetation make the work a characteristic example of his landscape painting.
Why this work?
This painting blends traditional rural architecture with an atmospheric landscape. The harmonious composition, the warm color palette, and the finely worked buildings give the work a timeless appeal. As a motif from the Chiemsee region, the image has regional reference as well as a decorative character that appeals far beyond the region.

Dieter Wulff was a German painter who began his artistic career with a solid training as a sculptor. From this classical training he developed an independent, expressively influenced visual language. From the 1960s onward, landscape took center stage in his work, characterized by clear composition, distinctive line work and atmospheric color. In the 1980s Wulff was among the particularly in-demand artists in his region and was active for decades as well as a gallerist, teacher and organizer of exhibitions. Today his works enjoy a continuously growing demand in the collector market.
