Description from the seller

This richly appointed French mantel clock features a young woman seated beside a classical lyre, symbol of harmony, poetry and music. Next to the timepiece there is a stringed instrument, while the case is decorated with various musical attributes and refined floral ornaments.

The rectangular base is richly decorated with laurel wreaths, bows and musical instruments in relief, executed with an exceptional quality of tooling.

The round dial is set in a beautifully adorned case and is framed by refined decorations that harmonize beautifully with the sculptural scene.

The pendule dates from the early 19th century and represents an excellent example of the French Empire style, in which classical antiquity was an important source of inspiration.

The timepiece has recently been serviced, runs excellently and is, of course, supplied with pendulum, key and our guarantee of proper operation.

A particularly decorative and elegant pendule with a beloved musical theme, executed in high-quality bronze.

Dimensions: 51 x 37 x 12 cm deep.
