Description from the seller
Scientific Name:
Plesiosauria / Pliosauridae (undetermined)
Location:
Talsint, Morocco
Stage:
Cretaceous
Size:
Set of approximately 13 bones (vertebrae and other elements)
Piece sizes: variable, large and well-defined bones
Fossil description:
Spectacular skeletal set consisting of 13 bones belonging to a possible plesiosaur or pliosaur, including vertebrae and other associated anatomical elements.
All bones were found in the same excavation set, separated only by centimeters or a few meters, indicating a clear anatomical relationship and a common origin.
Comes from the new Talsint site, an area still in the discovery phase where barely any fossils have been recovered, which makes this piece extremely scarce material of great scientific interest.
The bones show very good definition, with clean surfaces, clear morphology and exceptional preservation for this type of marine reptiles. It is a perfect piece for study, research and scientific collection, highlighting its rarity and paleontological value.
