Description from the seller
Exaequo Softwatch - Ref. 93012 - Quartz - 1990s - Two-Tone Melting Design
Softwatch by Exaequo, reference 93012, produced in Switzerland during the 1990s. Gold-plated stainless steel case in the brand's signature asymmetrical "melting" silhouette, powered by a Swiss quartz movement.
The Softwatch line, launched by Geneva-based Exaequo in the early 1990s, took its sculpted, warped case shape directly from Salvador Dalí's imagery of melting timepieces — a design language that later drew comparisons to the far more expensive Cartier Crash.
- Movement: Swiss quartz
- Case: Gold-plated stainless steel, asymmetrical "melting" case, approx. 40 x 27mm (caliper, excluding crown)
- Dial: White, black Roman numerals, "Softwatch" script and "EXAEQUO" signature
- Bracelet: two-tone expansion bracelet (gold-plated and steel links)
- Functions: Hours, minutes
- Water resistance: Not water resistant
- Year: 1990s (ref. 93012 numbering suggests ca. 1993)
The watch is in very good overall condition. Dial printing is crisp and unblemished, case retains its gold-plated finish with only light surface wear consistent with age, crystal is clear with no visible scratches. Movement is confirmed running and keeping time. Non-Dalí-signed Softwatch examples in clean two-tone condition are less commonly listed than their Dalí-branded counterparts, appealing to buyers drawn to the design itself rather than the licensing history.
From a private collection.
No box or papers.
Shipped fully insured, tracked, and signature-required worldwide.
