•Title: “Bacchus”
•Artist: Cosmin Marian Guta
•Year: 2026
•Technique: Mixed media on canvas, pastels, ink oil and acrylic on canvas
------------ ---------------

* SHIPMENT WITHOUT FRAME / SHIPPING WITHOUT FRAME
---------------------------
• Style: Contemporary, in which I use mixed media and organic matter that, when manipulated, takes on a tactile quality reminiscent of human epidermis. The surfaces of my works become skins that breathe, scar, erode and transform. They are sensitive maps where memories, marks and silences are inscribed. I’m interested in that point of intersection between the physical and the symbolic, where matter seems to have a life of its own.
• Delivery: Packed and boxed in a cardboard tube
• Signed on the front of the fabric
• Note: Colors may vary slightly compared to photographs
• The work is unique.
***The artwork will be shipped in a cardboard tube, with a tracking number, via an internationally known shipping company, e.g., FEDEX, UPS, TNT***
Description
Bacchus is a contemporary reinterpretation of the mythological figure Bacchus, god of wine, ecstasy and the liberation from norms. The work presents a frontal, monumental character, with a nude body and no classical idealization, reclaiming vulnerability and bodily diversity as symbols of authenticity and power.
The background, built through swirls of color and gestural brushstrokes, envelops the figure in an almost mystical atmosphere, evoking states of transformation, excess and transcendence. The blue layer introduces an element of dignity and heroic presence, while the serene posture and the raised hand suggest an invitation to ritual, celebration or inner revelation.
Through a vibrant palette and expressive emotional charge, Bacchus challenges traditional beauty canons and proposes a more human, free and inclusive vision of the divine.
