Description:
Bid now on this beautiful piece of history: a tusk from the extinct woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius). This particular specimen is extra special due to its unique provenance from the North Sea.

Species: Woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius)
Origin: Recovered from the seabed of the North Sea, Netherlands
Condition: The conserved object is in a beautifully restored state.
Weight: 7170 grams
Dimensions: 120 cm measured along the outer curve. 104 cm measured along the outer curve. Thickest girth approximately 25 cm.
Condition and conservation:
Mammoth tusks recovered from the North Sea have lain on the sea floor for thousands of years. This specimen shows a beautiful patina with a smooth texture.
