Netherlands-origin Art Deco spice cabinet (kruidenkastje) in dark wood with white Delft blue porcelain front panels, dating from 1920–1930, with dimensions 37 cm high, 41 cm wide and 15 cm deep, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
A traditional Dutch spice cabinet and kitchen cabinet (kruidenkastje), typically from the first half of the 20th century (between the 1920s and 1950s). Such pieces were extremely popular in Dutch and Flemish rural kitchens. The cabinet is made of dark-toned wood, and the drawers and the front of the middle door are made of white, Delft blue (or cobalt blue) ceramic (or porcelain) with a floral pattern. Each drawer has a Gothic-style Dutch inscription indicating the food or spice to be stored inside.Eieren (on the middle opening door) – Eggs (Behind it is a small shelf or compartment for storing fresh eggs).
It is in very good condition, not a single crack. A rare collector's item.
