Description from the seller
PALESTINE. 1,000.
- Value: 1,000.
- Year: 1927.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: PALESTINE with inscriptions in Arabic and Hebrew, date 1927 and equivalent in the Islamic calendar. Reverse: ONE MIL with denomination in Arabic and Hebrew around a central olive branch.
- Grade: MS64BN (PCGS).
Bronze coin issued under the British Mandate for Palestine, with a multilingual design representative of the administrative and cultural coexistence of the territory during the interwar period. The obverse features the name PALESTINE accompanied by legends in Arabic and Hebrew, while the reverse shows the denomination One Mil surrounding a stylized olive branch, a symbol of peace and regional prosperity.
The engraving offers a clean and balanced style, with well-preserved relief and excellent definition in the leaves and characters. The specimen retains original surfaces with uniform brown tones and slightly reddish hues, plus residual luster visible under the patina. The small marks and dark specks observable are minimal and fully compatible with the high grade MS64BN, making this piece an attractive historical testament to Palestinian numismatics of the 20th century.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes.
