Coffee and tea service (20) - Porcelain

The subject of the auction is a unique pre-war coffee-breakfast service for 5 people. The set comes from the flagship stylistic line with a neobaroque, organic form featuring wavy rims and delicate reliefs on the edges. The dishes are adorned with a deep emerald green, combined with intricate multicolored bouquets of flowers reflected in the mirror surface of the plates. The edges and the characteristic handles are finished with subtle, hand-applied gilding. On the bottom there is an original, under-glaze signature SORAU with a crown and shield, the name of the series, and a number. The service is almost 100 years old and is very sought after on the market. Pay attention to the photos – the sugar bowl has a repair (gluing), the jug lid has a small crack. The mentioned signs of use and minor imperfections are a natural consequence of the advanced age of this nearly 100-year-old antique service. Look carefully at the photos. Despite these small traces of history, the service is stunning and still looks exceptionally impressive on the table or in a collection behind a display case.
