Beautiful antique French Comtoise wall clock with a rooster finial, dating from the Louis XVI period (late 18th century). This authentic timepiece features a traditional verge escapement movement and has a beautiful historical character.

The clock is in very good working condition and has always been carefully maintained. The movement runs very well and strikes twice on every full hour, with a short pause of approximately 4 minutes between the strikes, and once every half hour. The clock has a lovely, calm and characteristic steel ticking sound.
