A highly collectible and beautifully detailed 1:18 scale model of the legendary BMW 2002 Turbo, produced by Kyosho, one of the world's most respected manufacturers of premium die-cast model cars.
The BMW 2002 Turbo, introduced in 1973, occupies a special place in automotive history. It was Europe's first production car equipped with a turbocharger and became an instant icon thanks to its aggressive wide-body appearance, flared wheel arches, front spoiler and famous mirrored "turbo" lettering on the front spoiler.
Developed from BMW's successful Neue Klasse platform, the 2002 Turbo was powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing approximately 170 horsepower. At the time, this made the compact sports sedan one of the fastest German production cars available and laid the foundation for BMW's future high-performance road cars.
Today, the BMW 2002 Turbo is considered one of the most important collector cars in BMW history and a direct ancestor of the later BMW M models. Original examples are highly sought after worldwide and have become increasingly valuable among enthusiasts and collectors.
