A. Koupetzian, pupil of Martiros Sarian (1880-1972), the greatest Armenian artist.
Koupetzian became famous for his Cubist compositions, called synthetic Cubism, initially invented by Braque and Picasso around 1910.
After embracing this style in the 1970s, A. Koupetzian successfully developed it considerably by adding depth and new colors never seen before.
The works are widely presented in exhibitions and national museums in Russia, Italy, USA, the United Kingdom, and China.
