Description from the seller
Pair of large wrought-iron wall sconces – Neo-Gothic / Neo-Medieval Style – France, 1960s-1970s
Elegant pair of large wrought-iron wall sconces, crafted in a remarkable Neo-Gothic / Neo-Medieval style, dating from the 1960s-1970s.
These imposing sconces come from the dismantling of a small country manor, where they contributed to a warm and authentic atmosphere. Their wrought-iron construction shows artisanal workmanship, with beautiful volutes, vegetal decorations, and finely cut bobèches.
Their substantial size and balanced silhouette make them true decorative elements, suitable for a characterful home, a chalet, a country house, or a restaurant.
Electrical wiring is present, but it is recommended to bring it up to current standards before use.
The bulbs visible in the photographs are not provided. However, the complete set of candle-holders (holders for sockets) is intact on both sconces.
The sconces are offered in their original condition, with a beautiful patina, normal signs of wear, and some stains related to time, which can be cleaned according to the buyer's wishes.
