A piece of silverware of rare finesse and timeless charm. This splendid pouring vessel in the form of a slender amphora represents an excellent example of goldsmithing mastery, perfect for enriching a collection of silver or as a sophisticated decorative element for classy tables and display cabinets.
Subject and Style:
Made in fine 800 silver, the pouring vessel stands out for its elegant lines and harmonious silhouette. The bulbous body tapers to a thin neck with a flared spout, balanced by a sinuous handle with volute details. The base and the neck junction feature refined repoussé work with a palmette motif and beading, giving the object an elegant neoclassical taste. On the base the punches are clearly visible, including the “800” hallmark and the silversmith’s marks.
