Description from the seller

A piece of silverware of rare finesse and timeless charm. This splendid pouring vessel in the form of a slender amphora represents an excellent example of goldsmithing mastery, perfect for enriching a collection of silver or as a sophisticated decorative element for classy tables and display cabinets.

Subject and Style:
Made in fine 800 silver, the pouring vessel stands out for its elegant lines and harmonious silhouette. The bulbous body tapers to a thin neck with a flared spout, balanced by a sinuous handle with volute details. The base and the neck junction feature refined repoussé work with a palmette motif and beading, giving the object an elegant neoclassical taste. On the base the punches are clearly visible, including the “800” hallmark and the silversmith’s marks.

Technical Details and Conditions:

Type: Pouring vessel / decorative amphora
Materials: 800 silver (stamped)
Era: Vintage 1960s
Dimensions: 13 x 10 x 33.5 cm (height)
Weight: 336 g
