Description
Rare ancient stereoscopic photographic apparatus "Le Glyphoscope" made by Jules Richard in Paris in the early 20th century.
The Glyphoscope is an emblematic instrument of French stereoscopic photography. Designed both as a camera and a viewer, it enabled capturing and viewing relief images according to the stereoscopic process, very popular during the Belle Époque and the interwar period.
The offered model features a beautiful original patina and retains its essential characteristics:

• black metal construction ;
• mechanical controls present ;
• original markings visible.
The device is sold in its discovery condition, not tested with plates. The mechanisms appear visually complete but no guarantee of operation is given due to the object’s age.
Beautiful collectible object for enthusiasts of early photography, stereoscopic devices or Jules Richard equipment.
Condition
Old condition with normal signs of use and storage:
• surface wear ;
• occasional oxidations ;
• dust and patina consistent with age ;

Please carefully examine the photographs which are an integral part of the description.
