Description from the seller

Elegant carved and gilded wall console in wood with natural marble top, inspired by neoclassical/Empire style. The piece stands out for its rich and balanced decoration, composed of an egg-and-dart frieze, carved rosettes, acanthus leaves, and a prominent central support formed by two symmetric volutes, ending in an ornate base.

The top is made of pinkish brown marble with natural veining, with a cut contour and rounded profile, giving great sophistication to the whole.

It features a frontal drawer, discretely integrated into the structure and equipped with a metal rosette-shaped pull, offering a small storage space.

Seller's Story

I am passionate about art, antiques, and decorative objects with historical and aesthetic value. I carefully select unique pieces for auction, prioritizing those that stand out for their originality, quality, and history. I have a special affinity for antique mirrors inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha, acquired from private collections and antique shops in Portugal and France. I also place great importance on pieces made of carved wood, especially in gilded relief, which represent the refinement and craftsmanship of classical decorative arts.
