Clock - Brass, Wood - 1910-1920 - Smith Chinoiserie Clock

This concerns a Smith Electric Chinoiserie mantel clock with a black lacquered case decorated with gold-coloured hand-painted Chinese motifs.
The clock has a gold-colored dial with Arabic numerals and black hands.
Such Napoleon-style clocks were often produced in the early 20th century, roughly between 1910 and 1930.
At the top of the dial, the white stripe rotates with it.

This is the back of a Smiths English Clocks Ltd. electric clock, produced in Cricklewood, London.
The clock runs on 200/250-volt alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz.
It is a self-starting model, which means the motor starts automatically as soon as power is connected.
