For sale is an impressive Celtic gold stater from the Ambiani, one of the best-known and most significant Celtic coin types from northern Gaul. The Ambiani were renowned for their high-quality gold issues, whose style influenced numerous other Celtic coin series across Europe.
The obverse shows the characteristic stylized head motif, while the reverse features the typical abstract horse motif with the distinctive Celtic ornaments that mark Ambiani issues.
