Wall plate with mottled flow glaze by artist-potter C.J. Lanooy, featuring a mushroom decoration. Production year 1925.

In excellent condition. Diameter 35 cm and height 5 cm. Well signed.

Christiaan Johannes Lanooy (also written Lanooij) was born in 1881 in Sint Annaland (NL). In 1896 he came to work as an apprentice painter at Rozenburg in The Hague, where he left again in 1897. Subsequently he worked for Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland and Haga. In 1908 he started his own studio, first in Gouda and from 1920 in Epe.

This dish is also on display at the Keramiekmuseum Princessehof in Leeuwarden.

Wandbord/schaal met gemêleerd stroomglazuur door kunstpottenbakker C.J. Lanooy met paddenstoelen decor. Productiejaar 1925.

In uitstekende conditie. Diameter 35 cm. en hoogte van 5 cm. Goed gesigneerd.

Christiaan Johannes Lanooy (ook geschreven Lanooij) is geboren in 1881 in Sint Annaland (NL). In 1896 kwam hij als leerlingschilder te werken bij Rozenburg Den Haag, waar hij in 1897 weer vertrok. Achtereenvolgens werkte hij voor Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland en Haga. In 1908 begon hij zijn eigen atelier, eerst in Gouda en vanaf 1920 in Epe. 

Deze schotel is ook te zien in het Keramiekmuseum Princessehof in Leeuwarden.
