Propaganda entry for a 1 Schilling issued by the NSDAP in Austria in 1936, corresponding to the fundraising campaigns called “Weihnachtsspende des Deutschen Volkes” prior to Austria’s annexation to the German Reich. The obverse features a central multi-line inscription surrounded by a peripheral legend, while the reverse shows the value “1 S” flanking a stylized eagle over a party emblem, in a design with a distinctly political and propagandistic aesthetic characteristic of the period. The specimen preserves sharp relief and well-defined details in the legends and central elements, accompanied by homogeneous metal surfaces and notable original luster.
