Commemorative coin of 50 Schilling with a modern abstract design on the reverse, representing organic shapes and stylized molecular structures, evoking scientific and technological progress, characteristic of Austrian numismatic art of the 1970s. The obverse shows the denomination surrounded by the coats of arms of the federated states, in a balanced and symmetric composition.
