Decorative bell - Luxembourg - Evangelist Bel Echternach

Antique brass evangelist bell (altar bell) dating from circa 1900.

Decorated around with the Latin names of the four evangelists: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
On the neck is cast the origin mark 'ECHTERNACH', referring to the historic abbey town in Luxembourg.
The bell is in good, working condition. The original clapper is entirely intact on the inside. The bell produces a clear, loud tone.
