Description from the seller
Offered: an Aires Reflex Z TLR (Twin Lens Reflex), a handsome classic medium-format camera from the early 1950s. This camera uses 120 roll film and takes 6×6 cm photographs. The Aires Reflex Z was produced in the early 1950s by Aires Camera Works in Tokyo, Japan. The company was founded in 1949 (initially under the name Yallu Optical) and built an excellent reputation in the 1950s for high-quality cameras. The Reflex Z was one of the top models in the Aires TLR range and was intended as the Japanese competitor to the famous Rolleiflex and Rolleicord cameras. The Aires Reflex Z is known as a solidly built Japanese TLR and is today a beloved collectible.
Specifications:
- Model: Aires Reflex Z
- Shutter: Seikosha-MX
- Shutter speeds: B, 1 second to 1/500 second
- Viewfinder lens: Aires Viewer 75mm f/3.5
- Taking lens: Aires Coral 75mm f/3.5
- Film format: 120 roll film (6×6 cm)
The camera is working and cosmetically in good condition, especially considering its age. There are normal signs of use appropriate for a vintage camera, but overall it looks neat and well cared for.
A great opportunity for collectors or photographers looking for a characterful and stylish analog medium-format camera.
