Description from the seller
I propose a rare Longines Ultronic ref. 8484-2, a sporty model from the 1970s characterized by a tuning-fork electronic movement, a large stainless steel case, a black dial, an orange central hand, and a rotating bezel.
The reference 8484-2 is verified by the engraving inside the case back and is documented photographically. The Longines Ultronic movement has also been photographed and is visible in the listing.
The watch presents itself in very good condition considering its age. The dial retains a beautiful aesthetic presence, with sharp lettering, clearly defined indices, and a pleasant patina consistent with the period. The distinctive orange hand and bezel details make this configuration particularly recognizable and hard to find.
Steel case of about 40 mm, a substantial size and still current on the wrist. Bezel well preserved, crystal in good condition and case back with normal signs of wear compatible with a watch over fifty years old.
The watch is currently perfectly functioning and, during its period of use, has kept very good time. The date function is working. I do not, however, have documentation relating to previous servicing.
It is mounted on a black aftermarket sport strap of 22 mm.
Included is the original vintage Longines box. The box shows signs of aging and damage to the hinge area, clearly visible in the photographs, and is supplied in its current condition as part of the historical set.
Being a vintage watch, no water resistance test has been performed and water resistance is not guaranteed. The photographs are recent, detailed, and form an integral part of the description.
Private sale, as shown. Any signs, patina and imperfections are those visible in the images.
A rare and highly characterized piece, suitable for the Longines collector and the enthusiast of vintage electronic horology.
