Description from the seller
Miocene Megalodon tooth from North Carolina, USA
A certified smoker!
This very impressive bluish lower-jaw Megalodon tooth originates from the United States, where fossils like these are found directly on the seabed. This gives it a wonderfully rugged appearance and an authentic, “lived-in” look—pure nature. But this tooth truly has perfect serrations, which is certainly unique among USA teeth!
Compared with fossils from other localities, such as Indonesia, USA teeth are known for their solid, strong roots and a high degree of originality. Indonesian teeth can sometimes show sharper serrations and a smoother enamel due to the sediment they're found in, but they are also more often restored or even partially reconstructed. In the U.S., restoration is far less common, so most finds—like this specimen—have remained fully authentic.
This tooth is 100% original and unrestored, with a powerful root and fine natural details. A special and honest piece for the serious collector who values authenticity.
