Marelli model I-35 fan, Italian-made in cast iron with brass components, weighing 6.6 kg and measuring 47×38×28 cm, with three speeds and in working order, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
A magnificent and working exemplar of Marelli Fan from the 1930s weighing 6.300 kg
Model i-35 where the i stands for inclinable while the 35 stands for the blade length
AC powered, it runs on 120V and therefore can be used, subject to electrician’s opinion, with the electrical adapter (as we did to demonstrate it working)
It has two lateral screws on the head which allow slight directing of the airflow while a small wheel on the base serves to adjust and lock the direction. This, over the years of use, has ceased to be completely braking but would be enough to thicken the inner cylinder to give it a greater grip and make it work regularly
Some normal but limited areas of rust enhance the beauty of the structure which remains still gleaming
The concavity of the cage on the base is not a defect (experts know this) but allows the fan to be tipped back onto itself
Three speeds, all working, as well as the on/off switch
For industrial environments or commercial establishments that want to add a curiosity and industrial aesthetic to their premises
For the most demanding collectors
Wire has been replaced over the years and presumably in the 1950s
