Description from the seller

Antique Tilt-Percolator / Samovar made of brass – RAUCO (circa 1920/1930)

You are bidding on a beautiful, rare piece of coffee history: An antique tilt-percolator (coffee brewer in samovar style) from the German traditional brand RAUCO (Metallwarenfabrik Raukamp) from the 1920s to 1930s.

This magnificent set stands out with its elegant shape, the warm brass gleam, and the craftsmanship. It is an absolute eye-catcher for any kitchen, living room, or stylish café décor!

Details & delivery contents (Special highlight!):
• The absolute highlight of this offer: Unlike almost all other sets you sometimes find on the market, here you get the original, matching miniature fuel lamp (the spirit burner) included! Normally this accessory has long since been lost and is extremely hard to obtain separately. Here you receive the set absolutely complete!
• Manufacturer: RAUCO (with rare stamped maker's mark on the underside: Oval “RAUCO” over an encircled “M”).
• Item: Antique coffee percolator (tilt system/infusion coffee brewer) including the rare original miniature burner lamp for generating heat as well as the original large serving tray.
• Material: Entirely brass. The handles are fitted with heat-insulating wooden elements. The inside is traditionally tinned.
• Age: approx. 1920 – 1930 (Art Deco era).
• How it works: The water in the main container is heated by the spirit burner underneath, rises through a riser pipe, and brews the coffee in the sieve from above. With the tilt joint, the finished coffee can be poured conveniently.

• Appearance: Excellent, era-appropriate vintage condition with a beautiful patina. The brass shines splendidly, but shows minimal, age-related signs of use (fine scratches/cleaning traces), which give the object its authentic character.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: This antique set is expressly and exclusively sold as a pure decorative object / collector’s item. Since it is a historical device, I take no responsibility or liability for technical function, safety or any potential commissioning (especially regarding use with spiritus/open flame or foods).
Selling my collection.
