Description from the seller

Splendido e autentico complete bed set in ancient pure heavy linen, entirely spun and hand-woven. A piece of history of traditional dowry linen, characterized by a tactile texture, fresh and incredibly sturdy, typical of domestic looms of the past.
The set includes a large top sheet and two coordinating pillowcases.
Dimensions:
Lenzuolo: 255 x 225 cm
Federe: circa 72 x 48 cm (visible in photo with tape measure) with classic fabric closure ties.
Details of Value and Craftsmanship:
Hand embroidery: Corners of the sheet signed with the initials "A. M." embroidered in cross-stitch with red thread, distinctive mark of ownership of the original dowry.
Antiquarian Lace: The pillowcases and the hem of the sheet are adorned with a beautiful insert in carved/needle-pulled handmade lace, which creates a refined geometric and floral motif in openwork.
The charm of the antique loom: As used in the early 1900s to reach the widths of modern beds starting from the narrow loom cloths, the sheet features longitudinal joins expertly done by hand (visible in the photo). A technical detail that is not a flaw, but the authentic proof of its craftsmanship and historical manufacture.
The set is in vintage condition, very good, solid and ready to use or collect. Being an authentic piece with decades of history, note:
tiny and normal signs of time.
A slight and circumscribed shadow/stain (highlighted in detail in the dedicated photo), easily treatable with the right traditional washes or solar bleaching.
The stitching and fabric are perfectly intact and durable.
A unique piece, ideal for lovers of Shabby Chic style, rustic high-end, or for those who want to rediscover the unmatched pleasure of sleeping in true antique linen.
