Description from the seller
((nice and Rare Egypto/Roman glass bead.)).A mosaic glass technique allowed multiples of an image to be created: a figural or design composition was made by bundling colored glass canes, which were then drawn out into a long bar. The bar was then sectioned at right angles, probably by striking the bar with appropriate tools, to produce small inlay tiles. The tile would then be smoothed and polished on the face intended to appear outwards. In this mosaic, a bird is depicted against a red background. White, yellow, and black glass are used to portray the bird, creating a remarkably beautiful color composition. The use of the red background is especially striking, enhancing the overall visual impact of the design. .this bead is from a collector from us that collects many Roman glass and bead and this beads collect and purchase in 1982 and the last owner buy it in 1977 from Europe .Provenance statement seen by Catawiki. The seller can prove that the lot obtained legally. The seller will take care that any
