Magnificent late 19th – early 20th century collectible doll (circa 1900), a witness to the golden age of prestigious French and German baby dolls.
The head in superb biscuit porcelain is hollow-marked on the back with "DEP" (Simon & Halbig mold produced for the French market).
Details & Features:
Head: Biscuit porcelain head in perfect condition (no cracks, no restoration). Stunning fixed blue glass eyes, open mouth with original tiny teeth, pierced ears.
Wig: Very beautiful blonde wig from the period with curly hair, topped with a small fabric rose crown.
Body: Original jointed body in composition and wood. The joints work perfectly.
Original shoes: Rare and sought-after detail, she wears authentic black leather period shoes stamped under the sole with the company logo featuring a clover, from "J.R" (Jeune & Cie / S.F.B.J).
Height: 58 cm
Condition:
The porcelain head is pristine, with no damage. The body in composition shows signs of wear and a natural patina consistent with its age (minor wear visible on hands and joints; photos are part of the description).
