Oil on cardboard measuring without the frame 33 x 41 cm and signed at the bottom right Ad Planson.
André-Émile Planson was a French painter born on April 10, 1898 in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre and died on September 29, 1981 in Neuilly-sur-Seine].
Biography

After receiving the guidance of Paul Meslé, a local painter, he studied at the Académie Ranson (1917-1919) in Paris. With Roland Oudot, Maurice Brianchon, Christian Caillard, Roger Limouse and Raymond Legueult, he formed the group of Painters of Poetic Reality. He was a member of the Académie des beaux-arts (1960).

The works of this artist are mainly kept at the André Planson Museum in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre].
The work represents a view of Paris with a steamboat in the foreground toward the early 1920s (as attested by a note on the back).
Provenance: sale from Planson studio.
