Cutlery set (34) - Silverplated - Wellner antique cutlery

Wellner (1931) Antique Cutlery Set – Art Deco Style / Augsburger Faden – 34 Pieces
I am selling a beautiful and rich antique cutlery set signed August Wellner Söhne, a historic German manufacturer of excellence. The set is made of heavy-quality silver-plated cutlery (German standard hallmarked 90).
The design is the famous "Augsburger Faden" (Filet style with scrolls), a classic of the Art Deco period.
Lot composition (34 pieces total):
• 16 large dinner forks: of which 10 pieces are very rare bearing the year hallmark "f" lowercase in a circle, certifying exact production in 1931. The remaining 6 pieces are contemporaneous later additions of the exact same model.
• 8 large dinner knives: of which 5 vintage pieces with blade stamped "Nicht Rostend" (1930s/40s) and 3 later pieces with blade "Solingen Rostfrei" (1950s).
• 6 fish knives: elegant with a typical flat geometric blade (2 pieces from 1931 with letter "f", 4 later ones).
• 4 large soup spoons: all original from 1931 with year hallmark "f".
Condition:
The cutlery is structurally sound, sturdy and intact. They show the natural patina of time and require a normal silver polish to restore their original shine. The handles of the knives are solid. Some staining present.
A splendid piece for collectors of mid-century modern design or to set a formal vintage-feel table with great charm.
