In this piece we present a work of immense prestige and charm: a Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date in the highly sought-after emerald green color. A timepiece that blends high-end sporty horology with a hypnotic naturalistic design.
This watch is Montblanc's first professional diver certified (ISO 6425), but it is famous especially for its revolutionary dial. The manufacture managed to recreate the three-dimensional texture, the grain, and the depth of glacial ice (inspired by Mer de Glace on Mont Blanc) through a complex and ancient artisanal technique called gratté-boisé. The deep emerald green color captures the light, evoking the reflections of alpine lakes surrounded by glaciers.
The technical setup is impeccable. The 41 mm stainless steel case is topped by a unidirectional ceramic green bezel, two-tone, glossy and scratch-resistant. The watch is water resistant up to 30 ATM (300 meters) and the solid case back features a magnificent 3D laser-engraved illustration portraying a diver and an iceberg.
