Description from the seller

This auction offers a genuine Japanese natural finishing whetstone produced under the well-known Kamejirushi brand and supplied in its original presentation box.

According to the manufacturer's description, this stone is a natural Awasedo (finishing whetstone) originating from the Shobonyama (Masamotoyama Awasedo) area in Kyoto, Japan, one of the regions internationally recognized for producing high-quality natural sharpening stones.

Unlike synthetic stones, every natural whetstone has its own unique texture, color and sharpening characteristics. Each piece is therefore one of a kind.

This stone is intended for the final sharpening and refinement of Japanese kitchen knives, woodworking tools and other fine cutting instruments. It provides the smooth, natural polishing feel that Japanese natural stones are valued for by collectors and knife enthusiasts around the world.
