Offered is a splendid, very complete, and mechanically fascinating centerpiece for the discerning collector of antique photography: an Ernemann Heag VI 'Zwei-Verschlußkamera' (double-shutter camera) from the early 20th century. The camera features the iconic deep red leather bellows that beautifully contrast with the warm mahogany and the chrome/ brass details of the bed/track mechanism.

• Optical & Mechanical front: The bed slides smoothly over the guide rails. The lens is optically tidy. No scratches, fungus, or haze.
• Status of the focal-plane shutter (Important note): The internal focal-plane shutter in the rear housing currently does not function. The mechanism and the curtain appear to be fully present inside the housing, but as is very common with this specific model and its age, the internal ribbons have worn over time. A recognizable and honest aging feature that does not detract from the historical value for a collector or display piece.
