Ceiling lamp - Bag of pearls - Crystal, Brass

Ceiling lamp of the 'sac de perles' type (pearl bag) or Empire style, from the first half of the 20th century (circa 1920-1950), though it still follows design patterns from the 19th century.

It has a 'basket' or 'globe' design, consisting of rows of cut facet-cut crystal beads, which are cut to help refract light, creating flashes when the lamp is lit.

The upper band is made in repoussé brass with its original patina, as well as the links, and features a very detailed relief work with floral motifs.

Note: it has a small fault in one ring of a hanging fixture, easily repairable.
