Body and paint:
In 2008, when I took over the car, the following sheet metal work was carried out:
Left and right rocker panel posts, each with roughly 3-4 cm of rust-through behind the front wheel. These were professionally repaired and sealed.
On the left fender above the headlights, there was a small rust-through. The fender was replaced with a good original used one. The original fender is still available. Afterward, the whole car was repainted, as it also had several scratches from objects stacked on top of it. The windshield was also replaced and all seal gaskets were replaced.
The current paint finish is uniform and exhibits a high gloss. The entire body was subsequently sealed with TIMEMAX cavity wax.
During a minor wildlife accident in 2018, the front right bumper was slightly dented and the right fender had a small dent near the bumper. This was straightened and the fender repainted. The bumper itself was completely renewed with mounts, and all chrome parts were nobly rechromed.

In 2008, the air suspension from Schattenkirchner in Munich was overhauled. The steering gear was also replaced. The current mileage of 146,000 km is verifiable. The original service booklet is available. An annual service is performed.
The car starts immediately after winter and runs and shifts as it should.
The tires are now 11 years old and should be replaced.
From 1978 to 2008 the car was deregistered. The previous owner only drove it occasionally with a red plate. The original air conditioning is not functioning. Interior: The interior is still the same as it was 55 years ago. It has never been dismantled. The seats with cord velour are still presentable and the upholstery is good. The original carpet behind has a small burn hole. The Grundig radio is from 1974. It was a technical innovation at the time. The automatic station search is indicated by small red LEDs. Four loudspeakers with balance control in the dashboard.
History:
A Munich car!
The Benz was delivered by Mercedes-Benz Niederlassung in Munich in 1971 and handed over to Ackermann Immobilien. Later, a well-known orthopedist from Munich/Grünwald bought it. Then in 1976 it went to the Mercedes-Benz dealer Herrmann Demuth in Munich-Giesing, who drove it for 2 years. Then Herrmann deregistered the Benz and kept it in one of his many garages until he showed it to me in 2008. I was allowed to buy the car and since it was superficially quite scratched, I had it repainted. Rust was hardly an issue. The condition is 1-2.
Valuation from TÜV Süd over 62k€.
The car presents itself in an exceptionally good condition. Especially the interior is very well preserved. The paint is in an extraordinarily good condition and has a high gloss.
