Superb historical commemorative bronze medal, signed J.P. Legastelois, dedicated to Georges Clemenceau, “the Father of Victory”.
Description:
Avers: Bust portrait of Georges Clemenceau in three-quarter right, with the circular inscription “GEORGES CLEMENCEAU”. Signed “J.P. LEGASTELOIS” at the bottom.
Revers: Clemenceau standing, reviewing troops; inscription “THE DAY OF GLORY HAS ARRIVED / 11 NOVEMBER 1918”.

Edge: Smooth with hallmark “Bronze” (horn of plenty)
