Description from the seller

Ceramic Birdhouse

"This series of birdhouses was born from a desire to change approach, to step away from my usual typologies to explore a freer, more decorative object.
I wanted to work with a more instinctive drawing, applying to a new shape the materials and textures I love: I worked the red stoneware to play with the oxidation and the reduction that the glaze creates on the surface, playing with aligned brushstrokes and creating a relief between shine and matte.
A project a little apart, more intuitive, born from a need to play, to experiment; far from daily function, but always in the gesture."

Materials: Glazed stoneware

About Lucas Huillet:
Formed at Camondo School in design and interior architecture. This academic path opened doors to collaborations with prestigious houses and institutions.
In 2018, he created his studio as a space of exploration where ceramics, interior architecture and object design intersect around an expertise in working with natural materials, allowing him to design unique pieces that are at once everyday objects and fully fledged works.
Today, the studio continues to blend traditional crafts and contemporary innovation, with the aim of creating objects with meaning and authenticity.

Lucas Huillet’s creations have been exhibited notably at Paris Design Week, Collectible in Brussels, and Dubai’s Al Shindagha Museum.
