Kodak Vest pocket Medium format camera

Vest Pocket Kodak is one of the most important cameras in the history of photography. Released by Eastman Kodak in 1912, it was one of the first truly pocketable cameras and helped popularize photography among the general public. Its name ("Vest Pocket") refers to the fact that it could be carried in a vest pocket.

During World War I, Kodak marketed it as "The Soldier's Camera" ("La cámara del soldado"). Thousands of soldiers took it to the front because it was small, light, and sturdy.
