Description from the seller
Philips Philetta B2D93A Valve Radio – Ivory – 1959/1960 – Vintage Classic
For sale is an original Philips Philetta B2D93A valve radio in the sought-after ivory edition from 1959/1960.
The radio is in very good and well-maintained condition for its age. The case shows only slight signs of aging and impresses with a beautiful vintage patina. The elegant shape and ivory-colored Bakelite make this model a real eye-catcher.
FM reception works flawlessly and offers very good reception. The FM search function and the dial illumination also operate reliably.
Note: The tuning control for longwave (LW), medium wave (MW) and shortwave (KW) does not work, so these wavelength ranges cannot be used at present.
The Philips Philetta is one of the best-known tube radios of the post-war era and is today a popular collector’s item. With its timeless design it is ideally suited as a stylish vintage decorative object – perfect for bars, cafes, restaurants, hotels, film sets, or as a special living accessory in mid-century style. Even without daily use, it remains a decorative eye-catcher with authentic 1950s charm.
