Description from the seller

Wedgwood Edme – Pair of Covered Tureens (2 Pieces) – Ram’s Head Handles – England – c. 1980s

A beautiful pair of authentic Wedgwood Edme covered tureens, showcasing the iconic Edme pattern, one of Wedgwood’s longest-standing and most celebrated collections. Inspired by the elegance of 18th-century Queen’s Ware, the Edme pattern is admired for its timeless cream-coloured finish, refined fluted bodies, rope-moulded borders, classical pedestal bases, and distinctive ram’s head handles, creating a design that has remained a favourite with collectors and admirers of English ceramics for generations.

Crafted by Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston, England, these impressive serving tureens perfectly reflect the quality, craftsmanship, and enduring style for which Wedgwood has been renowned since 1759. Their elegant proportions and classical design make them ideal for formal dining, display, or as statement pieces in any fine porcelain collection.

The bases are fully marked “Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston – Made in England – Edme”, confirming their authenticity. Dating from approximately the 1980s, they represent a fine example of late 20th-century English ceramic craftsmanship.
