[Digital Tested / EXCELLENT] Nippon Kogaku NIKKOR-Q Auto 200mm f/4

■ Overview

This is the NIKKOR-Q Auto 200mm 1:4 originally released in the 1960s, bearing the prestigious "Nippon Kogaku Japan" (early Nikon) engraving.
Known for its robust all-metal construction and sharp rendering, this classic telephoto prime lens is highly appreciated among vintage lens enthusiasts. It can be easily adapted to modern mirrorless cameras (like Sony E-mount) with an appropriate, inexpensive adapter. It also features a convenient built-in lens hood.

■ Condition

・Appearance: EXCELLENT Vintage Condition.

Considering it is a vintage lens from the 1960s, it maintains an excellent condition.
There are some minor scratches here and there due to its age, but there are no fatal deep scratches or large dents that would significantly reduce the value of the lens.
Please carefully review the attached photos to check the exact cosmetic condition.

・Optics: Clean & Practical.

No fungus.
No haze.
There are some fine scratches and visible dust inside when checked under a strong LED light.
However, I have practically tested this lens on a digital mirrorless camera (Sony NEX-3) with an adapter, and I can confirm that these minor optical flaws do NOT affect the final images at all.

・Functional: Good Working Order.

The helicoid (focus ring) moves smoothly without any issues.
The aperture ring works perfectly and smoothly.
The aperture blades are clean, snappy, and work perfectly.
The built-in hood slides in and out perfectly and smoothly.
