For sale is an exceptionally heavy and magnificent antique French wine tasting cup (tastevin) made of solid 950 fineness silver (vermeil).
Details & Decor: In the bottom is inlaid a historical medallion with the portrait of King Louis XIV. (Ludovicus XIIII Rex Christianissimus). The outer wall is encircled by hammered heraldic shield emblems. The handle is artistically formed as a double serpent. Condition: Originally the bowl was gold-plated (vermeil). Through historical use and polishing, the gilding is largely worn away and only gleams subtly in the recesses—a beautiful, authentic patina.
Tools/Marks: At the upper edge near the handle there are two official French marks: the Minerva mark (guarantee of 950 solid silver) and the diamond-shaped master mark of the silversmith with the initials “S R.”
Weight: Exceptionally heavy quality, approximately 214 grams.

Details & Dekor: Im Boden ist ein historisches Medaillon mit dem Porträt von König Ludwig XIV. (Ludovicus XIIII Rex Christianissimus) eingelassen. Die Außenwand ist umlaufend mit getriebenen heraldischen Wappenschilden verziert. Der Griff ist kunstvoll als Doppelschlange gestaltet.Zustand: Ursprünglich war die Schale vergoldet (Vermeil). Durch die historische Nutzung und Politur ist die Vergoldung größtenteils berieben und schimmert nur noch dezent in den Vertiefungen – eine wunderschöne, authentische Patina.
Punzen/Marken: Am oberen Rand nahe dem Griff befinden sich zwei offizielle französische Stempel: Die Minerva-Punze (Garantie für 950er Massivsilber) sowie die rautenförmige Meisterpunze des Silberschmieds mit den Initialen „S R“.
Gewicht: Extrem schwere Qualität mit ca. 214 Gramm.
